Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Hike & Beaches Day Trip

An engaging guided tour with Hibiscus’ experienced bilingual guide through the National Park while learning about the park’s wildlife & ecosystem. Tourists find the National Park is alive with sloths, monkeys, tropical butterflies, birds, snakes, iguanas, orchids, & more. They learn how the animals & plants life-cycles work in the rainforest. as well as their functions in the ecosystem & in their biodome specific only to Manuel Antonio. After the guided tour, tourists choose from 3 hiking trails to continue exploring on their own or from one of three seculded beaches.

Marino Ballena National Park- Whales, Turtles, & Dolphins and Snorkeling

Marino Ballena National Park has a naturally formed beach in the shape of a whale’s tail!  Take a boat ride through the National Park while stopping to snorkel in all the best locations.  Participants may see bryde’s whales & pilot whales, & dolphins migrating across the ocean. The most commonly seen dolphins on the Pacific coast are the bottlenose dolphins, commonly known as dolphins & spotted dolphins. The tour goes through the Marino Ballena National Park, Isla Ballena (Whale Island), Las Rocas Tres Hermanas (Three Sisters Rocks), Cavernas Ventanas (Windows Caves), & the Tómbolo of Punta Uvita. The tour visits a seabird sanctuary, Whale Island, & views of migratory birds and reptiles including green iguanas & lizards. Optional recreational diving on coral reefs in these wild areas are highly encouraged to enjoy the great quantity of marine species such as reef fish, mollusks, crustaceans, rays, starfish, & more.

UNESCO Archeological Site & Indigenous Tribe Day Trip

Take a visit to a typical hut where our guide explains the cultural importance & meaning of many aspects of the tribe. Participants will either visit a sacred spiritual site at a waterfall, participate in traditional indigenous workshop in either tribal mask making or natural textile making, and learn about the history & art of tribal masks. Participants all receive a small orientation to learn about the tribe’s culture and Boruca language. Many of the indigenous tribes are remotely untouched by western culture and practice traditions reaching back thousands of years.

Indigenous Tribe Week-long Cultural Learning Program

Learn & observe traditional indigenous ceremony participation in natural medicine alongside a tribe’s shaman performed in a typical hut or a spiritual ceremony done with smoke, river mud. The ceremony is performed by the tribal honors group in the river near a sacred religious site (min.3 ppl for the spiritual ceremony). The excursion also includes a visit which explains the importance & meaning of many aspects of the tribe. Participants will also receive a tribal mask. Participants all receive a small orientation to learn about the tribe’s culture and language.
