PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.

PADI Coral Reef Gardener
The purpose of the Course (Coral Reef Gardener) is to awaken
awareness of the importance of coral reefs, in order to
minimize its degradation through the technique of Coral Gardening, the
What is a way to restore, conserve and investigate these ecosystems.
Course objective: Acquire the skills and technical abilities for the
management and care of fragments of opportunity in the Gardens
(nurseries) of corals for a more efficient and rapid growth and in this
way to mitigate the impact on coral areas disturbed naturally or
anthropic.
Skills and techniques that are learned and executed at sea in Course
ADI Coral Reef Gardener.
❖ Differentiate existing reef-forming coral species
on the spot and those that grow best in the Coral Garden.
❖ Use research protocols and permits in compliance with
national regulations.
❖ Identify the anthropogenic and natural diseases and damages that
affect the coral reefs in the place where it will develop
the garden.
❖ Differentiate the types of structures (floating and bottom) used
for coral nurseries, as well as in the elaboration of these.
❖ Participate in the selection of species for the gardening of
corals in order to collect them as donors in the nursery
coral.
❖ Assist in harvesting by breaking up corals from
3mm to 5mm long for the purpose of gluing or fastening in nurseries
coral.
❖ Participate in monitoring coral nurseries periodically
by cleaning, measurement of growth in cm3.
❖ Tabulate the data obtained from the measurements of the growth of the
coral colonies in the culture area.
❖ Participate in campaigns to disseminate the results of gardening
coral and environmental education in the communities involved.
❖ Correct handling of corals and coral fragments, complying with national and international standards
